In my country, most people around, have umbrellas because it is too hot, and sometimes the rain will just pour without warning. But in my case, I am not bringing umbrella all the time because I usually forget and left it anywhere. I end up buying umbrellas every now and then. What about you? is it important for you to have one? or just remember to have an umbrella when it is raining? Some people, they have it in their car so that anytime they need it they have it. | | Tell me if htis sounds stupid to you. Please. | | I live in Florida and if it rains here 90% of the time there is some serious lightening going on too. So here's where I found the stupid part.I tried to give my kids umbrellas to use outside but there was too much lightening and for some reason all of the umbrellas seem to be made with metal. So why do they do that when we have all kinds of alternatives to choose from and some of them are lighter and stronger than the aluminum they use now and won't draw the lightening?[em]confused[/em] You would think they would decide that a change would be good by now right? | Rain. Your view point? Your memories? | | Its raining here and in some places its just around the corner! Do you like playing in the first rain? I love doing that. I remember during my school days when it used to rain heavily, oh we loved getting wet and then we would either get a shout from our teacher for coming wet to school or a spanking from mum for getting wet in the rain.Oh, the rainy season is lovely. Fishing I used to enjoy that, i still do. Remember catching small baby fishes and putting them in the well. Making paper boats and leaving them in the riverlets, watching the crabs coming in and out. How i used to hate those frogs and their noises and I would see loads of them during the rains. And yes not forgetting the number and variety of insects you get to see.The thunder and the lighting. When i was a kid used to get scared, they still are scary sometimes.People in their raincoats, multicoloured umbreallas and some just getting wet int he rain What do you do when it rains .How do you spend your time Would love to hear your viewpoints, your memories. | I had to say I'm sorry | | Ok, so this morning I totally lost it. I got up to the sounds of a downpour of rain hitting the roof of my apartment. I only wanted to roll over and go back to sleep, but had an 8 oclock class so I couldn't do that. So I crawled into the shower and tried to loosen my back up, praying it would quit spasming, which it started to do as soon as I sat up. (welcome to my life when it rains)I finished getting ready for school. Hubby and Daughter had already left. I went to grab my umbrella, which had been sitting by the door not fifteen minutes prior to that, and it was gone. I called hubby who said "Mine is in your truck, so I took yours."Well, he could have asked right? I pulled on a jacket with a hood and tried to keep my hair from getting wet, knowing that it would be a curly mess if it got wet.
I went to the parking lot but no umbrella in my truck! I called Mike back and said "What's the deal? There's no umbrella" He said "I'm sorry" Something about the way he said it set my nerves off. I really let him have it and told him that he should have been more considerate to make sure that I had an umbrella before taking mine.

| | Did you bring an umbrella? | | Its the rainy season here..each and every other day it rains either in the morning or evening. I've always had this issue..where when I carry an umbrella..it won't rain, and the fine day when I don't bring it...that's the day when I'd really need it. Not to forget the hilariousness that my friends think it is...so it ends as a laughable matter with me and umbrellas and the rain. How about you..do you carry umbrellas with you all the time...got those folded ones or you prefer the long sturdy ones?? Or do you prefer raincoats...all the same..keeping you shaded from the rain.
